Small Groups (Life Teams) Strategy |
|
| |
|
The Bible says that God’s purpose for all of us is to SAVE SOULS and MAKE DISCIPLES. The strategy that Calvary Assembly of God employs to accomplish this purpose is called G12 or the Government of Twelve. It is molded after Jesus’ own example. He saved 12 souls and then made disciples out of them. His disciples then saved souls and made disciples. God has commanded you to do likewise. There are four steps that everyone must go through: WIN, CONSOLIDATE, DISCIPLE and SEND. You must also go through this process as you’re learning how to SAVE SOULS and MAKE DISCIPLES. Follow, these links to learn about these steps in more detail.

The cycle starts with WIN. You were won to the Lord when you asked Jesus into your life. It may have been at an evangelistic event or at a small group gathering. With Jesus in your heart you WIN over sin and are no longer in danger of being left behind. You are now a member IN God’s family and we invite you to join in a small group of fellow believers called a Calvary Cell Group.

CONSOLIDATE is to grow closer WITH God and experience His love. In the Calvary Connect Groups, you will feel the care of other believers. Together you will learn to look after each other so nobody gets left behind. In the church, there are three events to help you continue your growth.
Pre-Encounter Class – You will learn how to get the wonderful blessings from being in God’s family to prepare for the Encounter Retreat.
Encounter Retreat – You will experience true repentance, forgiveness, inner healing, deliverance, the Holy Spirit and will receive God’s vision in an off-site retreat.
Post-Encounter – You will learn how to solidify your Encounter experience and to grow in your relationship WITH God and His family.

As you grow with God and others in your Calvary Cell Group, you will soon grow UP and want to obey Jesus’ last commandment to WIN souls and CONSOLIDATE them into God’s Ohana. So that nobody gets left behind, you will learn to DISCIPLE them by attending Calvary’s School of Leaders during Christian Education hour.

God’s desire is that nobody gets left behind anywhere, from our neighbors to the far corners of the world. To save others, God’s plan is to SEND OUT His Ohana to share the good news with others. When we’re ready, we will join with others in Calvary’s many outreach events or lead a Calvary Cell Group to WIN, CONSOLIDATE and DISCIPLE others into God’s Ohana. The cycle begins again.
