MEET OUR PASTORS
Terry Wong
Rev. Dr. Terry Wong is the senior pastor of Calvary Assembly of God in Honolulu. He is an ordained minister and a presbyter with the Assemblies of God. He is an international speaker in Australia, Brazil, Canada, China, England, India, Israel, Japan, Singapore, South Africa, Sri Lanka, and throughout the U.S. He graduated from the University of Victoria with a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics and Computer Science, Fuller Theological Seminary with a Master of Arts degree in Theology, and Assemblies of God Theological Seminary with a Doctor of Ministry degree. Pastor Terry is very passionate about missions and healing ministries. He is the author of Missions Power, a cutting edge and Biblically-based practical book on doing missions.
He was also a successful business professional for 21 years in corporate software sales. He enjoys martial arts, many sports and chess. Together with his wife Vicky, they have three children, Brandon, Vanessa and Ryan.

What would you like to see happen at Calvary?
I envision Calvary planting more churches locally and internationally. I see many leaders being raised up, leading missions teams, serving on healing and prophetic teams, and discipling others.

I have been married to Vicky for over 29 years, and have three children: Brandon (24), Vanessa (22), and Ryan (15). I am blessed that everyone loves Jesus and serves Him passionately.
Tell us two fun facts about yourself.
I like Marvel movies because I used to collect Marvel comics. I enjoy playing instruments because I used to play drums, electric and acoustic guitar, and electric bass with several bands.

Vicky Wong
Rev. Vicky Wong (Assistant Pastor of Spiritual Life) is a Licensed Minister with the Assemblies of God. She is also a Licensed Christian Counselor at Aloha Victory Counseling specializing in Mental Health Counseling and Marriage & Family Therapy. She holds a Master of Arts in Christian Biblical Studies and a Master of Science in Counseling Psychology. She enjoys riding horses, hiking, playing tennis and pickle-ball, and spending time with family and friends. She is happily married to Rev. Dr. Terry Wong, and the proud mother of Brandon, Vanessa, and Ryan.

What would you like to see happen at Calvary?
My visionary goal is to have the church be a genuinely safe place with loving acceptance and spirit-filled compassion so people from all cultures and backgrounds can find salvation, hope, healing, deliverance, and restoration through Jesus Christ.
Tell us two fun facts about yourself.
I am an extrovert and love connecting with people. I love eating healthy foods but have a secret addiction to fresh fruit smoothies, thai iced tea, vanilla latte, and gelato ice-cream.
What is your favorite food?
My favorite foods are: steak smothered in onions, steamed salmon with tofu, and lamb cooked with lots of Chinese sauces.

Aaron Tsang
Rev. Aaron Tsang (Associate Pastor) leads our Chinese and Community Ministries. Born in Hong Kong, he is an ordained minister and has been involved in preaching, teaching, worship ministries, and Chinese ministries. Pastor Aaron has a Doctorate degree in Linguistics from the University of Hawaii. He enjoys playing music, singing, and cooking. Together with his wife Ellen, they have two young children, Nadan and Jakin.

What would you like to see happen at Calvary?
I would love to see Chinese people filling up every chair in our sanctuary, worshipping Jesus together. I would love to see the presence of God being evident in every service at Calvary. I would love to see Calvary becoming a major influence in Hawaii and throughout the world. I would love to see Jesus glorified in everything we do and say.
Tell us two fun facts about yourself.
1. Besides being a pastor, one day I would love to work at Disneyland for any position.
2. I am quite good at playing Mario Kart.

When I have some free time, I like to play video games. I also enjoy cooking and singing very much.

Israel Nitta
Rev. Israel Nitta (Assistant Pastor of Next Generation Ministries) is a licensed minister and leads the Youth and A/V ministries. Born and raised in a Pentecostal family, Israel is a 4th generation Christian who has served three years as a church-planter in Brazil and has completed a Pastoral Leadership Program in Singapore. He is passionate about bringing people into authentic Christian living and a deeper appreciation of God's living Word. Israel enjoys reading, playing chess, and watching movies.

I would love to see a greater culture of love for God and people cultivated by a passion for his Word and a faithfulness to his calling. I married my wife, Joanna, who I met in Singapore while attending a pastoral leadership program, in 2018. She is a joy-bringing and generous woman of God who loves children and has a heart for those disconnected from God.

Dora Chee
Rev. Dora Chee is an ordained minister for the Assemblies of God. She graduated in 2005 from Pacific Rim Christian University, and currently serves as the missions pastor for Calvary Assembly of God. She is a courageous, compassionate and dedicated evangelist that has been serving on the missions field in Brazil for the past seven years. Dora Chee is a passionate church planter that has planted various churches all across Ceará, Brazil. Presently God has begun to open doors for her in ministry in the nations of Peru, Colombia, Venezuela and Brazil. She currently resides in Morrinhos, Ceará with her husband and three adolescent children. She values the ability to be able to proactively mentor, train, and walk with her disciples daily. She is dedicated to train, equip, and empower the next generation of leaders.
FUN FACTS ABOUT PASTOR DORA CHEE
Tell us about your family (non-church family).
I am #9 out of 13 siblings. They live in China (include my mom), U.S. mainland and Hawaii. My husband is an administrator, take care the finance. I have 3 kids. I home school them. My youngest,13, Audrey, she is beautiful. She enjoy singing and dancing. Aaron,16, is very organized. He can pack up the van and put stuff high on top and tide it up well. Angelo,19, is serving in Amazon, Peru while he is studying in Oral Roberts University and major in Information Technology online program. He left Brazil for college in the Fall of 2018, but he couldn’t live a life without heavy missions work. So, he return to Brazil and changed his major into online classes. He is like a steel pillar, strong, and pouring everything he got into mentoring the youth.
How long have you been at Calvary?
38 years in Calvary since Sept 1982, that I arrive in Hawaii and goto 8th grade. Met a Chinese girlfriend, and she brought me here. I feel sense of belonging and security in this church, pershap, it was made of Chinese community and I could not speak any English that time. And the pastor and his wife was genuinely care about me. And when church or life are down or when I live far, I still continue.
