OCTOBER 2025 UPDATE:

Aloha Calvary church ohana!

I hope you’re all doing great. I’m always grateful for your partnership and generosity all these years.

God is doing amazing things this year. This semester has started well and we were able to continue our weekly outreach and small groups at Mid Pac middle school and High school. We’re averaging 20 middle schoolers and 30 high schoolers, most of whom did not grow up being part of a church, who come every week and there’s openness in their hearts to know more about Jesus.

Our youth services are growing and we’re seeing new students come out. Our student and adult leaders are growing and being trained in their leadership and faith as they serve and lead various parts of the ministry.

One of the exciting things happening now is our two new small groups at McKinley High and Kalani High.

At McKinley, we started with two students,  one of which had come out to our youth services and he invited his friend. Afterwards, he thanked us for coming, and said that he has never had a meaningful conversation like this ever in his life. Then last week, our two students invited their friends and we had nine students come! Praise God! I shared my struggle growing up seeing my dad drinking a lot and how I navigated through God. One of the students shared that his dad is like that too. 

I’m grateful that we can have this opportunity to minister to the next generation, breaking the cycles of sins that leads to honoring life in Christ.

I bring my son with me on campus and they’re blessed to see him around and learn more about Jesus. 

We started Kalani’s student led small group last week with four students and we’re excited to see God draw in more students who are far from Him!

Thank you for being a huge part of what God is doing. There’s openness on the campuses and we appreciate your prayers and partnership to see more young people come to know Jesus.

Please continue to pray for grace, wisdom and strength as we lead the ministry.

May our students experience Christ more, love and obey Him. May they be a light and hope to their generation!

Open hearts for the students to receive God’s word and deepen their walk in Christ.

OCTOBER 2024 UPDATE:

Aloha Calvary church ohana!

Thank you so much for your faithful and generous partnership in God’s work in Hawaii and the world! We're so thankful for the privilege to co-labor with you in seeing the gospel preached on the campuses here in Hawaii.

Our ministry is growing and so is my family! We just welcomed our second child, Jireh, on August 23. We’re thankful for a healthy and sweet little boy that reminds us that God is our Jehovah-Jireh, the one who sees and sees to it. He is truly our provider!

Our youth and college ministry are expanding through different gatherings and youth services. So far this year, we've had 9 water baptisms (majority of whom are from the youth to college aged demographic. We're also excited to launch our short term mission trip to Japan this month!

One of our highlights is our ministry in MidPac.

We had a great meeting with MidPac's chaplain and we're united on the direction we’re heading together as we plan for ministry this school year. We just hosted our middle school and high school club day tabling last week so students can officially sign up. The turnout was great for both! We now have lots of new middle schoolers jumping in; and our former middle schoolers have since moved up to high school, have signed up and are excited to continue to grow deeper in their faith!  This year, we're improving our discipleship process for our student ministries and I'm looking forward to ministering more to our high schoolers at MidPac!

We're also on the verge of having two on-campus small groups on two new campuses soon! Please continue to pray for our ministry as we advance God's kingdom and see growth and multiplication of students coming to faith in Jesus!

OCTOBER 2023 UPDATE:

Aloha Calvary Assembly of God Ohana!

Thank you so much for your partnership and investment to the next generation.

By God’s grace, my family and I were able to lead and bring a team of students and young adults in Thailand for a two-week mission trip during the summer. We were able to bless and serve our church plant there through outreaches and leadership trainings.

Our ministry in Hawaii is in a very exciting season this fall. We’re continuously gathering at Mid Pac for our weekly small group. We have over 40 students that come every week and have the opportunity to hear the gospel.

Please pray for wisdom and more workers as we strategize and disciple more the students at our Mid Pac small group.

Our youth services continues to meet every Friday where the youth from different campuses have a place to grow in God. Please pray for continued wisdom for us and our team as we reach more students with the love of Christ!
